What is Oops... I Had the President's Wolf Babies about?

Leah is 23 and broke, so when a secret surrogacy program inside the White House offers a quick payday, she signs up. She does not realize she is carrying the heir of the President of the United States, or that the rules of the program are deadly serious: the surrogate who delivers the heir first becomes First Lady, and those who fail disappear.

On delivery day, Leah gives birth to two puppies. Fearing for her life, she fakes a miscarriage and accepts a demotion to White House maid, hoping to fade into the background. But her little ones are not puppies at all. They are wolf cubs that can take human form, and the way the President looks at them suggests he knows far more than he lets on.

The series opens with a twist most viewers will not see coming and keeps escalating from there. It mixes the stakes of a palace power struggle with the warmth of a secret-baby story.

Main characters

• Leah: a 23-year-old who joins the surrogacy program for the money and ends up guarding the biggest secret in the White House.

• The President: powerful, guarded and clearly connected to the wolf cubs in ways Leah has yet to understand.

• The wolf cubs: Leah's twins, who look like puppies at birth but can turn into children.

• The rival surrogates: competing to deliver the heir first, with the First Lady title as the prize.

Why viewers love it

• An instantly memorable hook. A surrogate giving birth to puppies in the White House is the kind of premise people share with friends.

• Secret-baby tension. Leah has to protect her children while living a few doors away from the man who could take them.

• Werewolf romance with a modern setting. Instead of a forest pack, the shifters live at the center of political power.

• Short, cliffhanger-driven episodes that make it easy to watch one more.
