In A New Life, Aaron is a 62-year-old landlord with a terminal illness and ten months to live, until a voice in his head announces an AI system that pays him in youth whenever one of his tenants feels something strong. The A New Life ending leaves him younger and stronger, heading home with three of those tenants: Natalie, nurse Grace and police officer Caitlyn, while Grace's boyfriend is kept in the dark. The series never confirms that his illness is fully cured. Getting there, this 16+ drama relies on repeated sexual coercion, which this recap names plainly.
Ten months to live and a voice in his head
In episode 1 a voice announces that the Desire Evolution Superpower AI System is activated and Aaron is its user. By altering a tenant's heart rate, he can trigger his own "evolution," and the first challenge task offers one year of youth on a 10-minute timer. Aaron calls it a prank, then asks the question that drives the whole series: if he were a year younger, could his illness be cured?
By episode 2 the timer is down to eight minutes, and Aaron admits what he really wants:
"I don't want to die. I want to live."
The system reports that his tenant Natalie is in a "high mood state" and that Aaron is one year younger. He shows Natalie his diagnosis, and she tells him to go to the hospital, adding that another tenant, Grace, is a nurse.
In episode 3 Natalie apologizes for her overdue rent. Aaron says he has ten months left and will stop collecting it, then tells her he wants to sleep with a woman before he dies. She refuses, begs him to let her go and says they can't do this, and he goes ahead anyway. In episode 4 she tells him:
"Aaron, let me go. You're committing a crime."
Aaron does not stop. What the scene shows is a sexual assault, and the pattern repeats with every woman he targets.
A nurse, an unpaid rent bill and a threat
In episode 6 Aaron goes to the hospital to store a fertility sample before he dies and runs into Grace, who promises to pay her overdue rent soon. She tells him he is too old and his body can't handle it. The system disagrees: her surprise in episode 7 takes two more years off him.
Episode 8 turns it into blackmail. Aaron tells Grace he will waive her rent if she satisfies him, and if she doesn't, he will report her to the hospital and file a complaint. He also finds a private item she has been hiding at work and asks what her colleagues would think if they found out.
Through episodes 9 to 13 he pressures her into sex in the ward while she tells him to stop and begs him not to do this. Each spike in her emotions pays out in strength and youth (episodes 10–11).
The police officer who came to arrest him
In episode 14 Caitlyn, a police officer and another of his tenants, walks into the ward and sees what is happening. Caitlyn orders Aaron to raise his hands and come with her to cooperate with her investigation, and he grabs her instead.
When she shouts that this is a crime, Aaron answers, "Then let me commit the crime." From episode 15 to 21 he sexually assaults Caitlyn and pressures Grace to join in, while both women tell him to stop. In episode 16 the system grants him a new skill, the Magic Hand, and he tests it on them.
In episode 22 Caitlyn tries to draw a line:
"Once we leave this ward, we're just landlord and tenant."
Aaron tells Caitlyn she will regret it. Grace begs that her boyfriend never find out, and Aaron promises he won't.
Natalie, her ex and the nightclub fight
In episode 23 Natalie insists she could never like the old man, yet the system registers her jealousy. A new task follows: find Natalie at the nightclub within one hour to earn Health Purification, the first reward that might cure him.
In episode 24 Aaron finds Natalie at the nightclub, where her ex-boyfriend Mark refuses to accept their breakup and makes a death threat. In episode 25 Aaron overpowers him and nearly chokes him until he is warned that Mark will die.
Natalie sees Aaron differently after the fight: "But Aaron was the one who saved me." This time Aaron asks whether she wants to, and they sleep together (episodes 26–29). In episode 29 the system restores 30 Health, and Aaron is soon hurt in an ambush by Mark.
A New Life ending explained: a cure that stays unfinished
In short: Aaron ends the series younger and stronger, telling Natalie, Grace and Caitlyn to get dressed and come home with him in episode 39, while Grace's boyfriend Jason never learns the truth. The A New Life ending does not confirm that Aaron's terminal illness is fully cured.
Task five, issued in episode 30, sends Aaron straight back to Grace, who is nursing his wound and calls caring for him her duty as his nurse. He uses the injury to pressure her again, and the payoff in episode 33 is only 20% Health Purification. "Only 20%? That's not enough," Aaron says.
Then Jason arrives and calls for Grace through the door (episodes 33–34). Aaron refuses to let her go until she has done what he wants, and Grace sends Jason to wait in the lounge, saying she is examining a patient. In episode 35 she panics that Jason must not find out, and Aaron offers his solution:
"Worst-case scenario, you break up with him. I'll take care of you."
Natalie walks in next, jealous that Grace has been with him, and demands the same (episode 36). In the finale (episodes 37–39) Aaron ends up with Natalie and Grace, and by episode 39 Caitlyn is there as well. Near the end of episode 39, Aaron credits the system for keeping him from getting hurt, tells the women to get dressed and go home, and promises Natalie whatever she wants once they get there.
Read plainly, the A New Life ending is wish fulfilment for Aaron alone. The women's refusals stay on screen, Aaron faces no consequences, and Caitlyn, the officer who tried to arrest him in episode 14, never makes that arrest.
Where Aaron and his tenants end up
Aaron: younger and stronger than the 62-year-old of episode 1, with the Magic Hand skill and two Health Purification boosts; whether he is cured is never stated.
Natalie: the first tenant Aaron targeted, now openly jealous and competing for his attention (episodes 36–39).
Grace: still with Jason as far as he knows, and hiding what happened from him (episode 35).
Caitlyn: the officer who tried to arrest Aaron, going home with him in episode 39.
Mark: his fate after the ambush is not shown.
